Dependable Power for Solar Domestic Hot Water Systems
» MODEL # PV-10
» MODEL # PV-M20
Siemens Solar has engineered the ThermoLine series of modules
to power circulation pumps in pressurized indirect or closed-loop
solar hot water systems.
Tests have show that systems using solar power can be superior
to both AC systems with differential controllers and horizontal
thermosiphon systems. PV-10 modules are designed specifically
to match the physical and electrical requirements of AET collectors,
making systems more economical, efficient and easier to install.
Solar hot water systems require a power source that can fully
utilize available collector heat. To accomplish thie ARCO
Solar has designed ThermoLine modules to economically match
the power requirements of specific DC circulation pumps.
The modules begin operating the circulation pump when the
insolation is sufficient to begin heating the water. As the
insolation increases, so does the pump flow rate.
Maximum system performance is obtained by a proper component
match. In most cases a properly configured system with ARCO
Solar ThermoLine modules can outperform systems using an AC
pump with differential control.
MODEL # PV-10
PV-10 modules are dependable and they feature anodized black
framing. A unique flanged mounting system on some models makes
installation directly on the collector quick, easy, and visually
appealing.
At the heart of PV-10 modules are high efficiency crystal
cells. All modules feature double construction designed to
meet the rigors of practically any environmental condition.

MODEL # PV-M20
|
• Large, single crystal solar cells provide high
light to energy conversion efficiency.
• Cells are textured and have an anti-reflection
coating.
• Multiple redundant contacts provide a high degree
of fault tolerance and circuit reliability.
• Cells within a module are electrically matched
for increased efficiency.
• Circuit is laminated between layers of ethylene
vinyl acetate (EVA) for moisture resistance, UV stability
and electrical isolation.
• Low iron tempered glass front provides strength
and superior light transmission.
• Rugged anodized aluminum frame is designed for
exceptional strength.
• Side rails with mounting holes located for easy
installation.

Intended for 12-volt systems only, the M20 regulates
its electrical output to the needs of the battery. Self-regulation
eliminates the need for separate charge control devices,
resulting in a simple, reliable and economical power
generating system.
Siemens solar electric modules are tested to meet or
exceed industry standards, and even more rigorous Siemens
quality and performance requirements.
The Siemens M20 solar electric module carries a 10-year
limited warranty on power output. Utilizing the highest
standard of construction, it is able to withstand some
of the most severe environments in the world and continue
to perform efficiently.
• Tough, multi-layered polymer backsheet is used
for environmental protectiojn, resistance to abrasion,
tears and punctures.
• A single junction box with cable is designed
for easy field wiring.

MARCH™ Direct Current Pump (D/C)
 |
March’s
proven magnetic drive eliminates the troublesome, old-fashioned
shaft seal. There can be no seal wear, power-robbing
friction or leakage through the seal. Impeller and drive
magnets are permanent ceramic type. They prevent slippage
and insure that full motor horsepower is converted into
pumping power. Energy requirements are lowered, as all
the energy produced by the motor is utilized, especially
important in solar systems. March seal-less drive also
provides for faster, easier motor service, as the motor
can be removed without draining or refilling. Their
low starting current and high efficiency make them excellent
for stand-alone solar circulators.
